16 DAYS RIDING THROUGH BOLIVIA
Discover Bolivia on two wheels
For trail lovers, this tour is the best way to explore the depths of Bolivia. It traverses highways, secondary dirt roads, national parks, and trails that will test your endurance and skill. You'll also enjoy activities with local communities, leaving a positive impact on them.
Day 1: Santa Cruz - Samaipata
The tour begins in the wonderful town of Samaipata, where you can visit the Fort or its vineyards to begin the trip in a relaxing way.
Day 2: Samaipata - Mairana - Mizque
A 25-30 km drive from Samaipata to Mairana, then continue by vehicle to Mizque, where we'll take a hands-on tour of a local cheese factory, milk cows, and see part of the fresh cheese production process.
Day 3: Mizque - Toro Toro
After sampling typical breakfasts, we have a short vehicle connection to continue the initial 27-km ride from Vacas to Arani. We return to the cars to reach our lunch spot near Anzaldo, before cycling the next 34 km through unique landscapes. If your physical condition allows, you can continue a few kilometers closer to the river or load up your bike and connect to Toro Toro.


Day 4: Toro Toro - stone cities and caves
Climb to Ciudad de Itas by vehicle, visit the attraction, and cycle to the Uma Jalanta Cave to visit the largest cave in the National Park.
Day 5: Vergel - Cochabamba
Walk through Vergel Canyon in the morning, and after lunch, descend to the Caine River before connecting to the city of Cochabamba.
Day 6: Cochabamba - Uyuni Salt Flats
Whether on a road trip with stretches of cycling in the high plateau or with a flight to Uyuni to take advantage of a bike route in the area, the ultimate goal will be to enjoy the wonderful sunset in this magical place and spend the night in Jirira (north shore of the Salar).
Day 7: Thunupa - Chikini Cave and walk in the Salar
We will drive up to the base of the Thunupa volcano crater, then descend by bike to visit the Chikini Cave, Incawasi, and enjoy a well-deserved mid-tour break at a 5-star salt lake hotel.
Day 8: Uyuni - La Paz
Road trip to La Paz, with a detour entering to El Alto to access the Mecapaca Valley from where there are a variety of options to reach the valley, by some trails or stretching the route to be able to pedal a little more.
Day 9: La Paz
Visit to the city of La Paz, with its cable cars and historic center. There's also the possibility of various afternoon bike rides or a free afternoon to relax.


Day 10: Palca Canyon
A route through the head of Palca Canyon, with its incredible formations, a special lunch at the end of the tour, and the possibility of hiking inside the canyon or in the Valley of the Animas.
Day 11: Death Road - Special Edition
Enjoy the iconic Death Road our way, starting at some sculptures at 5000 meters above sea level, descending through a moraine or the old road and ending the day with a good lunch and a visit to a rescued animal sanctuary.
Day 12: Chacaltaya - Milluni - Zongo
Route from the former highest ski resort in the world (5400 meters above sea level) to the entrance to Yungas.
Day 13: Zongo-Peñas
Road in the foothills between 4200 and 4700 to continue with a vehicle connection to the town of Peñas
Day 14: Peñas - Isla del Sol
Connect to the shores of Lake Titicaca, cycle along the shores and then take a boat to the magical Isla del Sol.
Day 15: Isla del Sol - La Paz
Hike around Isla del Sol, a short ride around the Yampupata Peninsula, and return to La Paz.
Day 16: Illimani
A route through the base of the city's guardian, the majestic Illimani. The tour concludes with a traditional local meal before returning by vehicle to La Paz.
