Essential Bolivia: From the Andes to the Salt Flats - 8 days

Explore Bolivia's most breathtaking landscapes in a compact journey that blends nature, history, and culture. From the vibrant city of La Paz to the magical landscapes of the Uyuni Salt Flats and the mystical Lake Titicaca, each day will surprise you with unique experiences while allowing you to gradually acclimate to the altitude.
Day 1: Arrival in La Paz - City Between Mountains & Mecapaca Valley
Arrive at El Alto International Airport (4,000 m.a.s.l.). We begin with a panoramic ride on the city's modern cable car system to admire La Paz from above and understand its unique geography. Explore colorful markets and savor the exquisite local cuisine before visiting the enigmatic Valley of the Moon. We end the day in Mecapaca Valley (2,900 m.a.s.l.) for a better acclimatization, surrounded by nature.
Day 2: La Paz Your Way – Culture or Adventure
Customize your experience by choosing between two exciting modules:

Cultural Module: Visit the city's top museums and explore Tiwanaku, the most important pre-Incan civilization in the region, famous for its enigmatic ruins and the legendary Sun Gate.

Adventure Module: Feel the adrenaline of the Andes with activities like paragliding over inter-Andean valleys, mountain biking down the iconic "Death Road," or a combination of flying and cycling in breathtaking landscapes.

Day 3: Uyuni Salt Flats – A Landscape from Another World
Fly to Uyuni and begin our expedition in 4x4 vehicles across the vast Uyuni Salt Flats, the largest salt desert on the planet. Explore salt monuments, the Train Cemetery, and Incahuasi Island, an oasis of giant cacti with unparalleled panoramic views. At sunset, enjoy a glass of Bolivian wine in the middle of the salt flats before spending the night in a hotel built entirely of salt.
Day 4: Colored Lagoons & Surreal Landscapes
Continue our journey through the Bolivian highlands, exploring uniquely shaped rock formations, active volcanoes, and vividly colored lagoons. Visit the stunning Red Lagoon, home to Andean flamingos, and the Sol de Mañana geysers, where steam bursts from the earth's depths. End the day relaxing in natural hot springs under a sky full of stars.
Day 5: Green Lagoon & Licancabur Volcano – Return to Uyuni
Head to the stunning Green and White Lagoons, located at the foot of the majestic Licancabur Volcano. After one last immersion in these otherworldly landscapes, we return to Uyuni with strategic stops at unique rock formations in the desert.
Day 6: Lake Titicaca – The Sacred Mirror of the Andes
Return to La Paz and continue the journey towards Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Arrive in Copacabana, a charming lakeside town and an important religious center. For adventure enthusiasts, there is an option to take a short hike or try rock climbing in Peñas, a valley of towering rock formations with stunning views of the Royal Range.


Day 7: Islands of Lake Titicaca – Nature & Archaeology
Sail to Moon Island, where we explore ancient pre-Incan ruins before continuing to the mystical Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. Here, visit ancient temples and enjoy a night with spectacular views of the lake and mountains.

Snorkeling in Lake Titicaca: Observe the mysterious giant frogs in their natural habitat.

Trekking on Sun Island: Follow the ancient Inca trail that crosses the island from end to end.
Day 8: Return to La Paz
Sail back to Copacabana and return to La Paz, making stops at pre-Incan archaeological sites before concluding our adventure at the end of the day.
