The Uyuni and 7 Volcanoes Challenge Expedition is designed for those who love Trekking and who seek to challenge their limits, leaving their comfort zone. It is a unique expedition of its kind, where we will take you to the top of 7 volcanic cones in the desolate plains of the Salar de Uyuni and the high deserts of the Bolivian Andes.

The expedition begins with an acclimatization process in the foothills of the Cordillera del Tunari, at the Berghotel Carolina, near the city of Cochabamba, the perfect place for proper acclimatization due to its height, comfort, services and proximity to the ascents in the Tunari mountain range. After our acclimatization we move to the immense Salar de Uyuni to begin with the first ascent of the expedition, the Thunupa Volcano, the most accessible of our ascents. We then move on to the Sillajhuay Volcano, one of the coldest ascents of the expedition.

The third volcano on the list is Irruputuncu, without a doubt the most active and stinking volcano on the expedition, since large amounts of sulfuric acid fumaroles emanate from its volcanic crater. Then we move to the Cachi Laguna volcano, but not before visiting the tourist attractions along the route, such as the Ollague viewpoint and the colored lagoons (Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiar Khota, Honda). From the top of Cachi Laguna we have the best panoramic view of the expedition. Then we continue our trip crossing the Siloli desert, the stone tree and the famous Laguna Colorada.

We continue the trip passing through the Sol de Mañana Geysers and the Polques hot springs to finally reach the foothills of Volcán Licancabur, which is the next volcano on our list. The ascent to Licancabur is the most demanding and cold of the expedition, after enjoying the top we move to the small community of Quetena Chico, which will be our base camp for the next two ascents, the Quetena Volcano and the last one it is that of the Uturunco Volcano, which with its 6008 masl is the highest peak of our expedition and the highest volcano in the Department of Potosí.

Once we arrive at the town of Uyuni we will take a plane flight that will take us to the city of La Paz where we can enjoy a good rest and a peaceful city tour through the historic center of the city.
